Our History

Sincerely Sarai Foundation was established in 2025 by Meakeal Streeter after her daughter Sarai passed away at the age of two from Gaucher disease. Sarai showed typical development until around one year old, when she began to regress and exhibited a large, firm abdomen. Despite concerns raised by Meakeal, initial medical advice was dismissive. A more attentive pediatrician ordered further tests, revealing enlarged liver and spleen and low blood count, leading to hospitalization. After 21 days of tests, Sarai was diagnosed with Type 2 Gaucher disease on September 21, 2016.
